How do I get started with Trakaido?
Visit one of our language-specific apps (e.g. lt.trakaido.com for Lithuanian) and start learning immediately in demo mode. No account required. Your progress is saved locally on your device.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can use Trakaido in demo mode without an account. All your learning data stays on your device. If you'd like to sync progress across devices, you can sign in with your Google account.
Which languages are supported?
Trakaido currently supports Lithuanian, Chinese (Mandarin), French, and Spanish as target languages. We also have experimental support for German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, and Japanese. See our Languages page for details.
How does spaced repetition work?
Trakaido's Journey Mode uses a spaced repetition algorithm that schedules reviews at optimal intervals. Words you find difficult are shown more frequently, while words you know well are spaced out over longer periods. Learn more on our Journey Mode page.
Can I use Trakaido on my phone?
Yes. Trakaido is available as a web app that works in any modern browser on any device. We also have native iOS and Android apps for the best mobile experience.
How do I reset my progress?
In demo mode, clearing your browser data will reset your progress. If you're signed in, you can contact us to request a data reset.
Is Trakaido free?
Trakaido is free to use. You can start learning right away without any payment or account creation.
